For 8 childhood years our family loved a pet crow named "Ike". An injured baby left to die, he came home in my father's lunch box to heal and grow into a revered family member. His vocabulary was impressive, and he rode through our neighborhoods on the handlebars of our bikes. Ike was successfully transitioned back into the wild and flew free throughout his remaining years. This experience left me with a profound love for birds, and a special place in my heart for painting Corvids.
